Ricardo Larrondo H. is a Chief Lighting Technician (Gaffer) and filmmaker from Mexico City. He is currently attending West Los Angeles College while pursuing membership in Local 728 as a Set Lighting Technician.


Ricardo has contributed to more than 20 short films produced through the USC MFA program and has recently worked as a Lighting Technician on two independent feature films. He enjoys collaborating with both longtime colleagues and new creative teams, bringing a positive, professional attitude to every production.


As a gaffer, Ricardo is dedicated to crafting visually compelling, cinematic lighting that enhances each story while remaining true to the story and the DP and Director’s vision. His approach to lighting is heavily inspired by the work of filmmakers such as Paul Thomas Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, and Quentin Tarantino, blending intentional visual storytelling with technical lighting precision.
